I've been a fan of Benjamin Percy's since I read his stunning story "Refresh, Refresh" in the Best American Short Stories, so I'm hoping that I can find a way to attend this enticing reading hosted by PEN/Faulkner:

Dagoberto Gilb is the author of Before the End, After the Beginning, published in November by Grove Press. His previous books include The Flowers, Woodcuts of Women, Gritos, The Last Known Residence of Mickey Acuña, and The Magic of Blood. His fiction and non-fiction have appeared in a range of magazines, most recently The New Yorker, Harper’s, and Callaloo. A finalist for both the PEN/Faulkner and National Book Critics Circle Award, Gilb has been the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and the PEN/Hemingway Award. Gilb makes his home in Austin, and he is the executive director of the new CentroVictoria, a center for Mexican American Literature and Culture at the University of Houston-Victoria.
